What is Permagard?
Permagard is a reactive polymer coating that chemically bonds to the pores of the paintwork to seal and protect the surface. As the treated surface cures, the plasticized molecules elongate, interlocking with each other, resulting in a tough bonded protective coating maintaining a durable high gloss finish. Permagard is not a wax and does not create repaint issues.

Initial Application and Service Treatment

Permagard exterior coating consists of 1 Initial Application and up to 5 Service Treatments

Applied at an interval between 11-13 months.

Permagard applications do not require special facilities

Treatment be carried out in any hangar or maintenance facility in parallel to scheduled aircraft maintenance checks.

A Permagard Service Treatment is a complete visual inspection of the aircraft and a deep cleaning and conditioning of the Permagard coating, using the Service Treatment product. Any areas in need of touch-up paints are treated at this time.
Coating Maintenance
Regular maintenance cleaning of Permagard treated aircraft is to be carried out by:

Wet Washing
Wet washing, utilizing clean water and Permagard approved cleaning products.
Dry-Washing
A Permagard Wipe-Down, using Permagard Multipurpose Cleaner (ref. 312) sprayed onto a clean cotton bonnet (functions as a dry-wash).
Persistent stains are to be treated with Permagard Cleaner for Treated Surfaces (ref AV305).
Permagard Warranty
5 Year Coverage
Permagard warrants its coatings against defects for a period of five years, subject to annual Service Treatments of the coating, performed by qualified Certified Applicators.
